Mummy decided to bring me for a haircut at vivo city together with yi po so we took the NEL to vivo in my new stroller =)..I always liked sitting inside =).

When we reach the cutting corner, the auntie recognise me as "the ger who screamed e loudest"..haha...It was not crowded and the Auntie played Barney for me. Yipo and mummy tried means and ways to distract me, while auntie was busy trimming off my hair...

Mummy feels that I look more like daddy after the haircut but I am glad because I feel so much cooler now...hee =)

2nd Birthday

Hi all,

Been a long time since mummy posted any updates here because she was busy with her exams, then then was busy preparing my birthday party at the childcare.

More photos will be updated soon..

2weeks ago, I was having high fever - 39.4. Mummy got the biggest scare in her life because Ms Tay called her and told her I was having fever of 38.4 at that time and my cheeks were all red.

Mummy rushed to the cc to picked me up together with ah ma. When she saw me, she got a shocked. My cheeks were pink and i was in a daze. Immediately she asked Ms Tay to feed me the nurofen meant for high fever of 38.5 and above.

That was the starting of the nitemare...For the rest of the next 3days, my fever came back and forth, and the PD has advised if the high is still there by sat, I was to go to Mt A to see her to get either antibiotics or go for a blood test. Mummy was so scared when we were on the way to Mt A.. I also rejected food, water and milk for the 1st 2 days and it got mummy soooooo worried...hiaz...Mummy can only try to give whatever I can take, apple, yogurt , barley water etc..

When we reached the hospital, there were alot of sick bbs around and I was one of them with thefever of 39 at the moment..We waited for almost 30mins to wait for our turn. When we finally see Dr Tan, we were told that I had an infection which led to the persistent high fever. As I was coughing and havign running nose, PD said I had Bronchitis!!!! Mummy's heart dropped when she heard that cos that was the fear she had...She has always been wary when i have any slight cough or flu for the fear of developing bronchitis..hiaz..

So we were told to rent the neubuliser home to use...The nurse jiejie was very nice, she showed mummy and daddy how to use the machine and even reward me with the biscuits. I find it quite fun and curious, hence did not struggle or cry =)..Mummy said I was a good good girl.

For the next 4 days, I was on the neubuliser every 4hourly but my folks try to minimised my usuage of this machine as they were worried that there will be side effect for their darling. After taking the antibiotics from the doc, my fever subsided and cough was also reducing and was able to sleep well at home. We were told to go back for review on the following tues to make sure that my lungs are cleaered.

So on Tues, daddy and mummy took leave to bring me back for review.Yi Po came along as she misses me and wanted to visit me. ..My appetite improved slightly by then, able to take half a bowl of porridge but still rejected milk. PD said my lungs were cleared and I onli need to contiune with my cough med. Hurroay!!

So after the review, we took a taxi to Compass point. We had some teabreak where Daddy fed me cupcake and I had water while the adults enjoying their toast from toastbox. Hump!

After filling up our tummies, we went to Kiddy palace for a walk since it has 20% discount for members. Mummy has been wanting to buy a new stroller for me since the current one is giving way slowly. Suddenly, something caught mummy's eye... It was a light blue stroller with the brand Haemin from korea...It was a 3-wheeled stroller and I was trying out in it...It was so comfy leh...i didn't want to come out of it...Hence, Yi Poh told my folks that she will buy for me as my birthday present..Yeah!!!! A brand new stroller at last =)... Mummy will post the picture of it soon....Mummy also bought the squeaky chair for me as she has been eyeing on it for ages...hee =)...

Hi all,

Mummy has been too busy to blog these days..Reason is because, I have started my childcare and been sick since te 3rd day...Hiaz, poor mummy and daddy, been busy since then.

First week, I was down with flu and cough, lots of phelgm too.And worst of all, I refused to take all the med, end up I was being forced fed..hiaz...that was how I recovered..

Second week, I was down with fever and even hit up to 38.9degree..Mummy almost freak out. Was fed nurofen to keep my temp down...

Last week, I was having diarrhoea. Been havign runs for about 5 times a day and all milk intake has to stop...Trust me, its the best way to go on diet this time...

Disney on Ice

Hi all,

I went to watch Disney on Ice with my folks yesterday. Mummy was worried whether I could sit through the whole show wihtout fussing. As it was my first time going to an enclosed area with dim lights, it was a big challenge to my parents.

The showtime was at 3.30pm, when we reached there, there are alot of kids running around the place. I was busy looking at the popcorns, cottoncandy and other merchandise with my folks. They are not much things to my liking but of cos, FOOD is my favourite ..Hehe..

We went into the Indoor Stadium my first time...Soon the lights went off, it was sooo dark..i was so scare, quickly hug my mummy tight tight and closed my eyes. But when I heard mickey mouse and minnie mouse voice, I opened my eyes big and wide, wondering what is mickey and minnie doing...haha... I was very fascinated by the movements, laughter and music and also the actions. ... It was really nice..This made my mummy more determin to bring me to more shows in future..Horray!!! =)

Hi all,

Mummy has been too busy to update this blog.Both my folks only slept for 3hrs ever since CNY..Poor folks...*hugz for them ya*... .But now, here are all the updates..

I will be attending childcare shortly..Initially was supposed to start 1st week of March but the CC has 5 cases of HFMD so my mummy decided to postphone the date til later. Sch uniforms were bought, and i will start going to sch on 1st April..Horray!! But bad news is, all the uniforms were discolored ..hiaz, long logn story, but nevertheless, I am going to sch soon!! Yeah!

Here is an update of my achievements now :-

1) Can say some 1 sysllabas words like duck, ball, clock, eat, poke, put, hug, kiss, sit , bus,
good good (meaning milk or her favourite food)
2) Will whin when my folks raise their voices at me over my naughtness

3) can recognise M,O,A,D, G,C,Z,S,T,W,X, 1-10

Achievements

Mummy discovered that I can point to the parts of my body when asked to do do, ears, head, eyes, eyebrow,mouth, nose, teeth, tongue,hands,legs... And also hand in mandarin..now my folks are training me these parts in mandarin in order for me to be billiguar which mummy says it is very important =). Apart from these, I am able to point and gesture what I want to my folks. Now, I can express my anger and laogei even better! =P.

I can say 4,5,6,10, A,O,M,S,T,W,H, bird,duck,clock, milk, Dad,car,xie xie and of cos, my "mai"(in hokkien)...Since CNY is near, mummy taught me how to say gong xi gong xi with the hand gesture...haha...Well, although my vocab is limited, my folks are encouraging me to speak up more now. The next on the list will be "please", "thank you" etc..

Childcare soon

Hi all,

Been quite awhile since mummy been blogging..

We just registered and made deposit for the childcare center at Sengkang on sat. Yeah! I am going to school in March and looking forward to it. My folks were saying that the deposit is so expensive, plus all the insurance, uniforms, mattress and cover...Boy, money don't come easily...
According to the admin jiejie there, I will be the youngest in the PG class in March, hope the gorgors and jiejies don't bully me =)..

In less than 1 month's time, it will be the chinese new year. I still remember I was sick last year and end up didn't get to enjoy the cny food, this year, hiak hiak, Yummy food, here I come!! =).. I am sure my popo, ah ma and mummy will let me eat to the fullest..hehe...

But sad to say, my folks are starting their lessons soon, Dad will be having his 1st lesson tomorrow and mummy's will be next week..Oh no, this means lesser time for me =(.

Outing to Suntec again...

Mummy brought me to suntec city havign the intention to get me a pair of new shoes as my current pair is getting tight and I don't like to walk in them cos pain pain..
Finally we settled for a pair of whte shoe from Osh Kosh, though mummy find it abit expensive, she still think its worth while to "invest" in a good pair of shoe for me..hehe... But being my mummy, she bot a size with 1 finger spacing behind my heels so that I can wear longer..haha..

Mummy heard from Auntie Hwee sin that the childcare center requires us to bring quite alot of stuffs, hence mummy decided to get this Barbie bag from Robinson for me, cheap and nice...

When we went home, i was carrying the bag, showing to Daddy and Ah Ma...Mummy can't help feeling I have grown up and soon its time to go to school..I think she will cry when she sees me in school rather than I cry..Well, we will see about it..hehe

Zoo!

My folks decided to bring me to the zoo during the New Year holidays. We woke up pretty early that day, as usual, my mummy got up super early in the morning to get my things ready, tibits, milk, juices etc.. By 8am we were ready to set off...

Upon reaching the zoo, my folks were very happy to see that there is no crowds at all..Phew.. However, being a timid me, a "rat" in nature, i was afraid of trees...I kept looking at the trees and go eheheh...My mummy assured me and kept on hugging me...I clinged onto mummy because there were so many BIG animals who I am scared of... We saw the tiger, zebra,giraffe,hipo, rino and many more. We watched the Splas show whereby seals perform. However I do not know how to appreciate it, only appreciated my biscuits..hee ..

The weather was super humid and hot , my folks and I were sweating alot. it was my first time to the zoo and to Kidzworld. I saw Ponies and goats there and of course the awterplay. But I din get to play as i was feeling very sleepy..

The next show we went was the elephant show which I think I enjoyed the most..The elephants were so clever...next was the Polar Bear feeding time. This is where I managed to sleep for 30mins while my folks were enjoying their KFC... We did not take alot of photos due to me, being cranky all the time..Here are some of it..

Trial at Positive Tots at Square 2

Mummy took me to the trial at Square 2 organise by Auntie Poky just for 4 of us.

Saw me inside? All the 4 of use look so happy because it was Bubbles time!...We had lots of fun in the class, music, positive encouragements, abit of exercise warm up and lastly some Phonics. We learnt Aa during the trial class. I loved phonics...hee.. Did you realise that there are 2 boys and 2 girls? keke..

Mummy sees that I have enjoyed the class so much, after much discussion and persuasion to Daddy, I was told I will be starting my class on 09/01/10. Yeah!!! I am attending classes again since I stopped my class in Nov with Kindermusik...

The only thing which worries Mummy is that Daddy might have to wait for us at a cafe nearby as there might not be any waiting area in the school..Daddy, sorry about it ya..*muacks for you*

New year's eve

Now mummy is thinking where to bring me to on this New Year's eve as she is on half day..Yuppie!!.. Tentatively, we might go Fidgets or Sentosa, or maybe Pasir Ris park or stay at home. 01/01/10 is my folks' 4th Wedding Anniversary!..Time flies...Ops, I have not prepared any gifts for them leh...hmm, nevermind, I will give them a kiss each..hee..

Finally decided to go picnic lor...Mummy prepared alot of nice food for us...My "equipments" for playing sand was brought along too..

Xmas Eve

Hi all,

My folks brought me to Polliwons on xmas eve after mummy knock off from work.
We went with Morgan jiejie's family. It was my first time going there and also going out with Morgan jiejie...hee..so excited..

We played the slide and ballpit. At first I duno how to slide down, instead I turn to my back and leg slide down first, so funny..mummy kept correcting me, saying I always very safety..hee..

I was reluctant to go into the ball pool iniitally, but after going in afew times with my folks, I loved it...Saw morgan jiejie played so happily, I also joined in..

It was really a fun time with Morgan jiejie and family..We had nice refreshments from them too, Daddy so paisei as we did not have time to bring anything along... Morgan jiejie, I promised next time mummy will make nice food for u hor =)..

17/12/09 - Xiao shu ROM

Today is xiao shu's big day, however, its a big day me too. Mummy will be bringing me to the Mind Power Kiddy Campus for afew hours of trial today. The principal of this school is very nice to enable us to sit in to take a look at the classes and teachers. It was raining heavily in the morning, we reach the childcare center at almost 10am. Was asked to check my temperature, check my mouth fo rany ulcers etc. Then we were brought into the playgroup room.

Apparently, the class was having music lesson. I saw about 6 gor gor and jiejies in the class. They were playing happily. I was abit shy when I go in and kept on holding to my mummy's hands. But after awhile, I got comfortable with the teacher and began to listen to the story-telling. I like the way teacher conduct the lesson and I could sit there for solid 15mins =). Then the teacher gave us some wooden puzzles to play with and i managed to put them together. Teacher told mummy that I seems to quite like e environment and is ready to join them. My mummy can't help but to feel proud of me..hehe..*as usual*.

I am starting to get familiar with the place after a short while, seeing that I am doing quite well and I like the teachers, mummy decided to enrol me to this center. The most important is that I like the teachers there and they seems to be caring and patient with kids. It was decided that I will be starting my "school" in March 2010. Boy, I am so excited!

Then we rushed home to get me ready for xiao shu's ROM. It was still drizzling but all went well. Then we had dinner with both side family...

I had my 18th month booster and my bum hurts, ouch!

Just gotten my cert for completing all the necessary jabs, my folks are so happy =)...Dr Tan was telling my folks that I should be calling them and all other people and also kno wmy ABCs. In fact, til now I still too lazy to call my folks, hence Dr Tan told them that I am abit slower. This got my mummy worried, she has been trying means n ways to get me to talk more...

Well, mummy felt that i am doing quite ok, I can recognise A,C,O,M and S. Just dun like to call people only...

Mummy and Daddy brought me to Zoophonics for a trial as I have ended my lessons with Kindermusik. When we reach there, the auntie told mummy that we can't go in for trial, if want, must sign up for new term. My folks were so angry because if can't have trial, should have called us to let us know.Haiz, Daddy already gave that branch a minus point. He was telling mummy to find another school for me..hiaz... Mummy decided to give the branch at Bukit Timah a chance..

Turning 18mths old soon!

Mummy forgot that i will be 18mths old this month. All along she thought its next month..Hmm...now she is thinking of how to celebrate this important day with me..hee..

But before that, my folks are having their exams this week and it has been lots of stress and"fireworks" around, I always got to take cover under my "chouchou"..hehe...Good luck for the exams Daddy and Mummy! I love you both always *muacks*

Daddy has 2 free tickets to the Flyers which will expire by end of oct, hence, here we are, at the flyers. I was very excited when I reach the flyers....I was happily sitting in my stroller..

After the ride, we went to popeye's chicken for our lunch. Hmm...my folks feel its nicer than KFC but alot of MSG in it...but it was a nice try =)...After our lunch, mummy and daddy brought me to suntec, Junior League to trim my hair as it was getting messy and abit too long for me.

See, I was so engorssed in my Barney show..Mummy was saying it was the 1st time that I can sit there on my own and without making any fuss. Reason??? Barney of cos! =).

Haiz, this expensive haircut is supposed to make me look more meimei, but end up I look so "du" because the auntie has cut my fringe TOOOOOO short =(..Mummy was so upset that I won't be able to use hairclips for quite awhile. On the other hand, Daddy say its worth it cos $20 haircut can last til after CNY...=)....

After the haircut, we went to Toys rus...I was busy walking around...

After class at Kindermusik today, mummy and I went to meetup with popo,xiaoyi and little uncle for a nice buffet brunch at Trader's hotel. As usual, I was enjoying my buffet too...fruits, tarts, bao, noodles, ice cream and cold drinks..yummy...here are some of the photos of the gathering...

Today after class, Daddy and Mummy brought me to orchard to walk. I enjoyed myself so much, walking everywhere, pulling every hanger which I can find until Daddy give up, he said chasing after me is so tiring =)..hehe.. Then we went to the new sushi Tei restuarant at Paragon, nice atmosphere and food.. I had my favourite Chawamushi and rice...Yummy...

Auntie Corinne's wedding

Today is the first time in my toddler stage of attending a wedding dinner...Boy, I am so excited, or rather, mummy is more excited than me! haha...She bought me a dress from Suntec, a pair of new socks and shoes to match with the dress... I am so fortunate =).

Mummy made sure I had my afternoon nap before going to prevent me from being a cranky baby at nite...When I wokeup, it was time for dinner....and thereafter, time to change and get ready for the "big" event..

Lantern Festival

New Things I can do..

Hi all,

Mummy was very happy yesterday because finally, I am willing to hold my own milk bottle during my feeds =). And of course, I can hold my own cup too ...Mummy said I am a big girl now, should learn to feed myself. Another milestone accomplised =D.

Daddy and Mummy were teaching me to say " I want" whenever they ask if I wanted a biscuit. I only knows how to knock my head and then say "want or i want" at times...This made both of them so happy...*hiak hiak, little trick of mine to get the food I want to eat* =).

I can understand simple instructins like, take, throw, put, then also ball, book, pillow.

I am looking forward to attending Auntie Bao's weddign this sun =D.

25/09/09 - BITTEN !!

On this terrible day, I got bitten by 1 2yr old ger at the playground. Ah ma brought me to the playground to play as usual. We see quite afew of the kids there, so I played with them. Then got 1 ger came, Ah ma thought she wants to hug me so just let her lor .Who knows, this ger bites me!... Imeediately I burst out crying and screamign because it was so painful...Ah ma quickly carried me home...End up yeye also shocked that I got bitten not by insect but by a GIRL!

Mummy and Daddy felt so heartpain when they saw me at nite...Both of them were so angry lor, how can one young girl so young go around bitting other kids younger than her??..Hiaz, well, you might want to ask how bad is the bites, please see below..

Doesn't it looks like beign kissed by someone with lipstick? Actually from here, it looks not very red, but actually it is! =( ..Pain pain pain..

1st Gathering with Mummy's Colleagues

It was a saturday when mummy decided to bring me along to Intercontinental Hotel Olive Tree for Hi-Tea with her colleagues. Daddy has to attend a BBQ gathering with his colleagues so I tagged along with mummy =).

I wokeup rather early that day, mummy fed me my breakfast and bathed me. Then coax me to slp so that I will not be cranky when I am outside. I was very sleepy and slept for 1hr before waking up for my lunch. After lunch, we took a taxi to the hotel. I was very excited to meet the aunties.

When we reached there, all the aunties were there eating, I clinged onto mummy as this was the first I see the aunties. Soon, mummy brought me to take some food which I can eat, bao, fried rice, fruits and dory fish. Of course, in order to keep me entertain, she gave me 1 prune to play...haha..

This is me at Anchorvale CC after visiting Cherie Hearts. I loved that CC but my folks feel that the location is really far especially if its raining then ah ma and I will have problem going there... It is clean, comfortable and I like the teachers there. I roamed around and start playing with the toys at the center....

Today is the 8th day after my MMR, i have gotten the fever bug indeed. Ah ma quickly gave me some fever med and I am off to lala land. Dad Dad and mummy got worried as recently i have been rejecting fresh fruits like blueberries,strawberries,pear,peach,papaya. But lucky I am still taking food jars. Mummy believes that this is a phase which I am undergoing now but she is still trying her best to make me take fruits. Mummy hopes my fever will go away soon so that we can go out on weekends..

Ok, let me update you my first visit to a childcare center (CC) - Cherie Hearts. I was abit shy when Dad and mummy and also ah ma brought me there. When we reach the Anchorvale CC, I was very excited as this is my first visit there, so are my folks. We saw many ple swimming, lots of kids running around etc. Mummy manage to find CH. We knock on the door and the Principal came to bring us in. When I went in, my eyes 'opens"up. I stayed in a corner with ah ma while the principla brought my folks for a tour around the center. Soon, I was busy taking out toys, climbing on tables..hehe... I like the place cos its so bright and clean =D. While my folks were busy with the principal, I was having a good time roaming around the center. Saw some korkor and jiejies studying so I went over to KPO..hehe.. Overall, my folks like there very much but Dad has some concerns : distance - ah ma and I will hv to take LRT and walk for about 10mins before we reach the CC, fully airconditioned - Dad doesn't like the idea of me staying in aircon whole day & some "teachers" there. The upfront deposit is almost about $1K+, haiz, nowadays havign a child in spore is not cheap... Nevertheless, Mummy is going to look for afew more ccs as another option but she is quite ok with CH. I guess I like it too =).

25/08/09 - MMR Jab

Mummy and Ah ma brought me to Dr Tan for the MMR. I hate jabs! Dr Tan did an assessment for me, I am growing well, I am 79cm tall and 10.7kg. My head is big, 49.5cm and Dr Tan said its on the big side but all is fine. I was asked to stack afew blocks to show Dr Tan. After the assessment, its jab time! Ah ma carried me while mummy hold on to my hands, soon I felt a sharp pain in my bumbum, Ouch! I cried...Luckily mummy brought my favourite rasins along and soon i was eat happily..hee..Dr Tan instructed mummy and ah ma to monitor me for the next 7 days in case of fever and faked mealses. I hope I will be ok too cos don't want to miss my lessons.....*keeping my little fingers crossed*.

My folks will be bringing me to view Cherie Hearts at Sengkang this wkend. Time flies, I will be 18mths in 3 mths time and mummy feels that I should be attending the childcare/playgroup when I am 20-24mths..Hence, the hunt for CC starts... She is looking at Cherie Hearts, My first skool, Amazing star etc. Tough job for my mummy....

23/08/09 - Completed first term of Kindermusik

Today is the last day of the term for Kindermusik, as usual I was happily walking around and enjoying my lesson. I find that I am more attracted to the teacher and hence, kept on going to the teacher =D. Mummy had a hard time to pull me back..haha..Thats my advantage of walking..hee

When the lesson ends, I was given a "Certificate of Participation", mummy says it is my first certificate =D. She will take picture and post here when she is free.... I have made improvements ever since I joined Teacher Shauna's class so my folks decided to let me sign up for another term..Horray! I loved lessons..hee.

Things that I can do now :-
1) Say "hmm mai" in hokkien if I don't want
2) When mummy said tongue, I will move my tongue left and right.
3) Can point to face, teeth, head, feet.
4) When say bao bao, will tap my own tummy
5) Know how to say "take", mama, dad dad,ah ma
6) Can walk around freely
7) Know how to climb sofa, bed
8) Can listen to simple instructions
9) Knows how to put my toys back to the box
10) Will know how to blow when my food is hot

Junction 8

Went Junction 8 with mummy, daddy and yi poh during the national day. It was my first time there so I was very excited..hee..

As the weather was very hot that day, mummy let me wear my first "bareback" top..hee..Meimei hor?

The next day, Mummy and yipo btought me to Mygym for an FOC trial class. They are having this promotion as newly opened so mummy decide to bring me there for a trial. Jacinta meimei and Qian ying jiejie went also.. Hmm, it was a big group in the class, there were some music, some workouts, we played around with the gym equipments for kids, walk around, played bubbles, parachute etc. But mummy still feel I like Kindermusik better..hee

After the class, we went lunch with Auntie Alexia and family...As we went out early in the morning, mummy has no time to cook my porridge, end up I only had my brown rice and milk for lunch. I was drooling when I see Jacinta meimei eating her porridge, licking my lips, and this nice Auntie Alexia gave me a spoonful =)...Yummy! After taking my "lunch", I went into lala land while the adults had their lunch =D.

Past 2 weekends was the normal ones so mummy didn't post anything here. Daddy was busy with his online quiz and TMAs while mummy and I were busy shopping with Yi Poh.hee.. And of course, I was the one who benefited most as mummybought toys and clothings for me..hee

Mummy ordered the healthy times cereals and food jars for me. Auntie Dawn and Auntie May also ordered so last wkend Auntie May brought Ariel meimei to play with me. Ah ma see ariel meimei so cute so went to carry her, I was jealous and cried loudly. I think this scared meimei, ops...Here are some pictures taken in my room...

I have gotten the flu bug again, mummy is starting to wonder whether am i teething, thats why been having flu on and off. But on the other hand, she is worried as now is the peak for H1n1 virus, and it seems so common. *shooshoo*, go away you naughty virus, please don't disturb me and other little kids as we are the vunerable group..Give u lots of kisses if you are guai...kee

This weekend is a long one as its my first national day. Mummy has started planning activitises for that day le. She will be going to NTUC to get some nice stuffs to cook for me for these 3 days.

You know wat? I can sing now...haha, sing what song? The hokkien song for every weekends 7pm show. Mummy and daddy discovered I have this singing talent last wkend. The begining of the show has some song, then I can sing along towards e chorus portion, both my folks were shocked especially my mummy..haha..

Oh ya, my lessons at Kindermusik will be ending next sun and mummy decided to let me continue with it since I really like the class and when she played the CD at home for me, I rem what I did in class. Mummy find that its worth it. Time flies, I am 14mths+ now, in 4mths time, supposed to be in Childcare or playgroup le. Mummy is hesistating to send me there so early for the fear of virus and gems I might get when i am there. She is considering Cherie Hearts, My first skool etc now. Well, its up to my folks anyway.

Chickenpox Jab

Mummy took me for my chickenpox jab yesterday. When I saw Dr Tan, I knew my bum is going ot be poked again. Dr Tan examined me for awhile, checking my eyes, my teeth, my tummy and my other developments to make sure I am on the right track. I am 10.4kg and 79cm as of yesterday. Mummy couldn't believe her ears, 79cm?? She asked Dr Tan twice. "Mummy, I am a tall girl you know"...hee. The adults had a difficult time to distract me, finally I was poked. I did not cry at all, only laogei for awhile and everything was ok when mummy gave me my teddy puffs. All was well and I am scheduled for my MMR jab next month, haiz, another poke.

After the session, we went to NTUC to get some items.

My poor mummy, lost her voice, despite that, she still try to sing to me, sounds abit funny to me but still, I appreciate her efforts.hee.. Mummy was on mc for 2 days. She was very surprised to see the way I bullied ah ma and yeye. I would fuss and laogei and cry if I can't get the things I want. She realised it was totally different btw the time I spent with her and grandparents. Of cos, ah ma and yeye dote on me so I can always get what I want but not my parents... I have learnt to say "mum mia" a NO in hokkien. Mummy was shocked to hear me say that. Guess she didn't know I have the talent of learning dialects frm yeye and ah ma..keke..

14 mths old today!

Mummy say I am 14 months old today, time flies. She can still remember when I was just a small little dot in the scan, grew to a little bb in her womb, the delivery process of c-sect with epi where she heard my first cries. Then all the hassel of night feedings, adapting with a new ME in the house, coping with making FM, pumping milk, engorgements, her confinement, her healing of the wound which I gave her. The time and effort spent from the day I am present til now etc. All these are somethings which she will never forget. My folks are glad that I am part of their life now, everything they do, they thought of me. Even when they went pator, when they see bbs, they will look at each other and think of me...Aren't I honoured =).

Mummy and Daddy are giving me the best of what they can now. especially my mummy, she loves me alot and bot alot of nice toys for me. She kept on thinking how to keep me entertain and at the same time I can learn out of the toys. She is always so concern of my well-being, be it my food intake, milk intake, got poopoo anot, ok today, any nappings etc..She would ask Ah ma the same qusetions everyday, well naggy isn't she? But she is my DEAREST mummy after all. Hope Ah ma will forgive her...keke...

As per today, your recent achievements are :-
1) Will say mum mum mum when you are hungry *we presume*
2) Clap hands or stamp feet when upon instructed
3) throw temper when you can't get the things you want
4) Can recognise sheep,horse and pig when the sounds are made
5) Knows how to call mama, ah ma, mum mum, dad

7) Knows how to turn on and off switches
8) Knows how to keep things in the box
9) Love to play water during bathing
10) Knows how to eat fruits with a fork given
11) Can recognise "bounce", "tap" as learnt from your class.

Mummy is so proud of you that you can do the following though some are not unacceptable. I hope you will recover soon and be free of bugs always =). Mummy will be starting lessons soon and will have lesser time for you, hope that you will not blame mummy and daddy as we are working this hard for the sake of you and our future together. We want to give you a better future and hence, now we are struggling to pursue a degree despite of our age. It is a tough journey, but for you, we will strive to do it. Just that mummy is upset and guilty that we are not able to spend more time with you, bring you to places which you should be going. Baobei, mama is really guitly about this, hope you can forgive us if we really didn't spend enough time with you. Just bear it for another 2years and all our time will be yours 100%.

Mummy likes and feels warmth when you wanted mama to carry you, or when you lie on my chest to nap..You look so angelic and innocent then =). Mama hope you will grow up to be a healthy and happy girl just like now =). *hugz for you*.

Flu bug caught me...

I started having running nose since wed. Mummy thinks that I must have caught the flu buggy from yeye and also the previous weekend where we went for the flyers as it was raining. Poor me, mucus start flowing down, my nose feels so itchy, I kept rubbing until like a red nose toddler..haha...Having some difficulties in sleeping cos of the blocked nose..End up daddy has to suck out the mucus from my nose, i struggled big time =(.

Mummy brought me to see doc on fri morning, she decided to give myfamily clinic a try since Dr Tan's clinic is always so crowded. Mummy, me and ah ma went there early, reach the clinic at 8am sharp. Saw a lady there, the lady very nice, say let me go first becuase kids sick very xinku. Mummy really appreciate it very much and said thanks to her. shortly, when teh clinic was open, there were so many ple. Soon, Dr Lee came. He is a nice and "handsome" doc that I decided to stare and look at him more..hehe..She took my temperature, mummy always tell me "di1", and I will know they want to take my temperature. Doc weighed me and I am 10.4kg, he was abit shocked of my weight actually. He commented that for girls of my age, this is a very good weight...Thanks to mummy and ah ma =). I was given flu and cough med.

As I was having a runny nose, mummy feels that I should not attend class at Kindermusik and be responisble to the society. So I spent my weekend with my folks staying at home, eating, taking med, sleeping and lots of playing. Daddy fixed up a shoping cart they bought for me quite sometime ago. I was very excited! While daddy was assembling it, mummy was busy distracting me. When the cart was ready, i had a fun time pushing it around. Mummy is worried that I might push too fast and fall down.. *keeping her fingers crossed*. I have another present during the weekends. Ah ma, my main caretaker has bought me a new stroller. Its those type which have holes at the seat so that i will not feel hot. Yesterday she wheeled me around the house and i was so happy that I clapped my hands each time mummy said "tu1tu2".. Now mummy is ready to bring me out on her own =)..hee

Tell you all something, I can sense mummy is feeling upset because her new term is starting on sat. Its her first lesson in Financial Planning, there will be lesson once a month only but lots os assignments to do. She is worried that she might neglect me and she will miss me alot. Her offical lessons for other modules starts in Sept but she also have to start preparing to revise her FA since she didn't do well for her exams. My poor mummy, hope it will end soon.

Trip to Flyers and Sentosa

Last weekend was a very hectic one for me and my folks. We wokeup pretty early as daddy's company event starts at 9am at the flyers. So mummy got up at 4am to start preparing my lunch and all the barangs for me. By 8am+, we were ready to set out. Actually we were late for 45mins, was supposed to leave our house at 8am and turn up we only left at 8.45pm due to unforesee circumstances. It was an unpleasant one for my folks as daddy was grumbling that we will be late. By the time we reach the flyers, all went well, surprisingly, daddy's colleagues can recognise me. Those who saw me shouted " Charlotte" which mummy was quite shocked. It turns out that daddy has a picture of my on his lappy wallpaper, thats why I am so famous =)..hehe..

It was raining when we were there, so the seats of the meeting area were wet. But daddy's colleagues were very nice, they offer us the brolly,and fan =). the event was quite fun and it ended at1pm. By then all of us were tired, hot and sticky. Daddy did not manage to get any prize for lucky draw.

After that, its time to set off for sentosa where mummy's alumini friends had arrange to have a picnic to celebrate Auntie Jean's birthday at the beach. Mummy realised that it has been almost 2years she did not visit sentosa. I was very happy when mummy put on the sunhat for me =), a new place with new surroundings for me..hee..We are the earliest there at the beach, shortly, mummy's friendz arrived. By then, I was halfway to lala land, so slept in mummy's arms for 15mins while the adults set up for the picnic. here are some of the photos..

Who knows, it rains shortly, and we all dashed to the nearest shelther, which is the carpark.

Then we decided to continue with our picnic here...What a picnic..hee

After we finished the food, the sun is out again so the adults decided to move out to the beach once again. There we found a nice and cooling spot to lay our mats...I was busy playing the cold water with Auntie Veron has bought for her fruits...It was so fun, Auntie Veron was teaching me how to hold the ice and put in my watering can...It was Fun fun fun! =)... Ad it was getting late, we left for home before the sky turns dark. Lots of clothes and barangs to wash for my folks.

For sun, it is the normal routine that I attend my Kidnermusik class at 1pm =). But different thing is, this time, mummy is bringing me to class on her own, just the two of us cos of some reason. We took a "shun feng che" with Auntie Dawn. There, I saw Qian Ying jiejie in the car with another auntie. After class, we had lunch at Macs as usual. Mummy met Auntie Adnes there where Auntie Adnes bought 2 books for me, so nice of her... Saw Morgan jiejie also, so trendy and meimei always =)..

What a busy weekend we had!

1st Fall

Had a fall yesterday. I was holding a rubber spoon in one of my hand, then am trying to walk towards the windows at the living room so that I can see the playground downstairs. Then in a slip, I fell and hit my face against the grilles. It was so pain that I cried and screamed. Yeye got a fright and ah ma quickly run out of the window. Mummy quickly carried me and bring me to put coins into the oink oink piggy bank which will say oink oink when i put coin in. Then I stopped crying. But mummy's heart was crying because my face swelled and there is a stretch of blueblack on my cheeks, so red and green. As I am very fair, so it was easiy seen. Hiaz, blame it on my clumsiness.

Mummy hope I have learnt my lesson and will be more careful from now onwards.

Achievements..

This week, I can point to light lights upon requested to. I can say mama, dad dad, mumumum, ah ma, light light =). Mummy was so happy.

Last wkend was a fun one because mummy and daddy finally brought me to the beach! We went to Pasir Ris park early in the morning even before i bath! We reached there about 9am, not crowded there, i rode my tricycle along..Was fun. But after awhile I was tired so was abit cranky.
My daddy, as usual, brought me near to the seawater, when the wave came along, it was so fun..I enjoyed seeing the wave, the sandlies and the sand..haha... Mummy was abit panranoid here, once she saw e sandflies, she carried me away, I can only say bye bye to the sandflies...

We had a "mini" picnic there, i was given my favourite - Yogurt... Yummy, i hv upgraded to adult yogurt now, cheaper for my folks too =)..kee.. Then we went ikea shop and walk around for 3hrs..Boy, I was dead tired when I reached home. Mummy quickly bathed me, and fed me milk, then i was off to lala land. Only woke up for milk at 12am!! and then went bk to sleep til next morning 7am.

Sun was a tiring one too...Went for my usual Kindermusik class, then went to attend Auntie Michelle's bb shower, then went popo house and then my folks went for a wedding dinner... My poor parents, they were so tired, more tired than me cos i got to nap but not them.

I have fully recovered from fever and is getting ready for my trial class at Gymbroee.
But before that, mummy let me try the HT Apple and Cinamon biscuit, I kinda like the taste and texture but its abit too big for my small mouth...Mummy kept laughing at this photo... *blushed*.

I like the playgym at Gymbroee the best! Get to climb onto the slides, crawl in tunnerals, running after balls etc. Phew, was indeed tiring for me.

Overall the class was ok as its more of a physical affair as I get to move around, play all sorts of obstacle. Mummy was glad that I have enjoyed myself. After the class, I was so hungry after exerting so much stamina =). Yummy porridge, here I come!!.

On the next day, it was my weekly class at Kindermusik. We had the cock-a-dool theme this term. All about animals. Teacher was busy teaching us some new animal songs, and of cos, pupperts show and some story telling =).

My poor mummy is having muscle aching and stiff neck today. Wonder if its due to carrying me so much last weekends... Its not easy to carry a 10.2kg toddler for hours. *muacks* for my mummy!

Fever again

Mummy brought me for my last Pneumocal Jab on 24/06/09. I am 10.2kg and 75cm in height now. Good weight gain and have grown taller =) ! Pain pain, after the jab, was given the pink pink medicine, abit sweet and I like it =). I started to have fever on the next day, was about 38 degrees. Mummy and Ah ma fed me with med again. Just don't understand why do I have fever everytime mummy brings me for jab, asked mummy about it and she told me that it is because my body needs to build up my immune system, hence having fever is a good thing! *me scratching my head*..Haha.

Mummy told me I must get well soon so that I can go for the free trial class at Gymbroee this sat. The voucher was given by one of mummy's thread forum friend, auntie Evie. *Thanks auntie Evie*. Really looking forward to play the gym and other stuffs..keke.. This sun, the new term at Kidnermusik will start with a brand new theme called - Cock a Doodle, an animal theme..Really looking forward to it =).

Mummy is getting worried about the H1N1 case as it has been increasing rapdily. She feels worried for little ones like me as we are still so vulnerable..Let's hope this will clear away soon..

Bb Ally's Bb shower

Mummy has signed up for the new term of Kindermusik for me. Cost her $200+ for the 8 lessons plus 1 pack of home materials. She doesn't feel the pitch as she sees that I have improve slightly after the second lesson. I can now cover my face with my hands when mummy played peek-a-boo with me. I learnt this from Teacher Shauna =). Mummy was surprised too =).

Daddy was alittle discouraging about signing me for the classes but he feels that should give it a try since mummy is so persistent about it. (thank you mummy!). Mummy will post some pictures of me in class later.

After the class, we went to Princess Ally's bb shower. it was a hot afternoon... BB ally look so much like uncle vincent..just like me, look like my daddy..hehe.. I was so hot and sleepy after my class then i kept on eheheh *I need a rest and shower*..

Mummy feel its good to catch up with auntie Serene and Uncle Henry(my mummy's future BIL??)..hee

Photobook

Recently, one of mummy's forum friend recommended her to do a photobook from artscow. Mummy rem she has not develp any photos of me since birth til now. hence she decided to do 1 photobook to try out. She selected the 8 x 8" (30pages), and begin uploading all the photos she wants to use. All in all, she spent almost 1 week to complete the whole book. Every single photo reminds her of her delivery of me and my growing process, from a newborn til now, a little cute toddler =). Lots of efforts and time spent on me indeed.

Mummy has submitted her photobook for printing and some photos which she wants to give to popo and ah ma. Hope that it will turn out nice.

Oh yes, almsot forgot to tell you, I am currently attending every sun's class at Kindermusik offically now. It started since last sun, 14/06/09. Mummy has paid for the last 2 lessons under teacher Shanua. She is still considering to let me continue with the class anot. When i first went into the classroom, i go eheheh all e way because I am scare, suddenly so many bbs ard me. Soon i became used to it, and I started crawling around =). Mummy's friend's ger, Morgan is my senior there. She has been attending classes there for quite awhile le. She was walking around, so friendly and she came over to say Hi. Mummy like her alot and keep asking me to make friend with Morgan jiejie..

After the class, i fell asleep in the van while on the way to Popo's house....

Calling Mama

Mummy has been very naughty recently. She put me in the playpen, while I was screaming for help, want to get out of the playpen, then she said " if you want mama to carry you, u call mama first". I hesistate for awhile, due to my helpless little body, i called "mama" twice. Mummy was grinning big big =). Then the next day, she put me in my highchair, again want me to call her before she will carry me out of my chair. Naughty mama..

My folks agreed that we are having more and more things in the house and needs to do some proper housekeeping. We reckon that we need more storage spaces so they decided to get more cabinets. It was my first time to Ikea and I was very excited over it. It was a 30mins drive to Ikea from our house. We went there for lunch, as usual, my folks get to eat nice food and me, taking only porridge. But mummy still give me some grilled chicken, whipped potato to try. I got to drink the green tea as well. *slurps*.

Mummy was busy last week thats why no updates posted here...sorry =).

Whole of last week, I was put on the 3-day allergy test for egg white. Mummy asked ah ma to give me hard boiled egg whites for 3 days. And i passed the test so its time for me to try something new ;p.

So last weekend, mummy decided to let me try the Egg Pudding :

- One milk bread, soaked in egg and steam for 10min

Thats easy right? But its very yummy too, I finished the whole piece of bread myself..

In the evening, my folks and I went to compasspoint to have dinner at Sakae Suishi. Wow, their bb chair is a special one, mummy realised she forgot to take photo for that. We ordered different types of cooked suishi, teriyaki chicken and of cos, my mummy ordered chawamushi for me since I have passed the test. I was so curious about the Jap settings, food and of cos their bb utensils that I keep putting everything in my mouth..I love the straw best ;p.

I tasted my 1st mouthful of steam egg, wow, it tastes so nice! so soft and nice =)...I think I am getting heads and heels with eggs...Yum yum! I also tasted my 1st mouthful of teriyaki sauce with rice, so nice.. =).

Mummy bought a thermal suit, a beachball and a float for me. She is afraid that I might be scare of cold so bought the thermal suit. Now we are waiting for mummy to get her swimming costume and then we can go swimming together..Yippy.. Mummy will post more pictures soon..so stay tuned.......

Oh yes, before I forget, finally, both my folks decided that I am old enough to play the little scooter which they bought from the preciously fisher price sales before I was born. There it is..

I have tasted another new receipe today , egg porridge! Yummy! The whole egg was beaten and pour into my porridge when its almost ready and it tasted so smooth =)... I am beginning to like eggs just like my mummy..hehe.

Trial at BJG

Mummy brought me to BJG - Baby Jumper Gym for a trial class yesterday at Bukit Batok. We were all very excited there. Saw Jacinta meimei and QY jiejie there. In an umfamiliar surrunding, I began my "eheheh and cling onto mummy again..After awhile when Teacher Grace came in, I was still abit scared. But after warming up, i began to crawl around. We had many rounds of flashcards session, it makes me blur but I am learning =). Jacinta meimei was so cute and active during the class, so cheerful somemore =). Across the room was one little boy, 2mths younger than me, duno why, when I saw him, he staring at me, so I crawl towards him and stared at him too. *mummy was telling daddy, love at first sight??* Haha.

All went well but mummy and auntie Dawn concluded that both QY jj and I are still too young and not suitable for flashcards yet as our attention span is very short. We prefer music and gym =). Mummy decided to sign me up for Kindermusik =)..Horray..

Mummy's Birthday!

As mummy's birthday was on a sunday, we decided to celebrate on sat instead because buffet lunch will be cheaper on sats..hee..We went to have our lunch at Trader's hotel- Cafebiz. I was so excited when i see FOOD and of cos, sat in the highchair while the adults were to help themselves to the food spread. Mummy was busy feeding me my porridge. I was busy looking around, staring at Yan Daos until mummy has to distract me countless times..hee

Mummy allow me to "po4 Jia4" for the day. I ate ice-cream, marshmallow,cakes, soups etc...Yummy, but of cos, my favourite is the ice-cream, chocolate favour...nice and yummy! I hope my folks will bring me to more buffets soon =D...

I am dancing after mummy gave me ice-cream, shall I be a dancer when I grow up or a "penguin"??

After that, my folks brought me for a haircut. The moment i stepped into the salon, i cried because I am afraid of the sound of the hair dryer. The hair dresser jiejie looks nice but I am scared, kept on screaming and crying for my mummy even though lot sof things were placed before me to distract me. Poor mummy, got her whole face and top full of my hair... After cutting, my hair was so short! Mummy was worried that those clips which she bought for me will be wasted..Immediately, she try it on for me, phew..still managed to clip abit of my hair to make me look like a girl..haha.

We went to Pine Garden to get some cakes for mummy. Had a hard time to find the bakery shop. See me, can't wait to go home so decided to learn drving from Daddy. See my new hairstyle?

Fever..

The next morning after my jab, I have fever 38.2degrees..Ah ma got scared by me, quickly gave me med but i threw it out together with my breakfast. Ah ma quickly called mummy to inform her, her precious princess fever leh. and of cos, mummy was worried even though PD has informed that I might get fever in a day or so.

So mummy called home afew times throughout the day to check on me. By the afternoon, after my nap, my temp was down to 37.5... I lost my appetete, cna only finish 100ml of my favourite milk milk. By the time my folks came home, my temp was back to normal. No more fever. Mummy let out a sign of relief...

I was still actively crawling around, in and out of my room...but I used this chance to lao gei..hiakhiak..to get what I want =)..

Today, my temp returned back to normal liao, so mummy went to work as usual. Hope I can resume my appetite of drinking 240ml of milkmilk soon ...

Today mummy and yipo brought me to Dr Tan for the first penumoccal jab. I was abit scared when I saw those nurses aunties and doctor wering a mask..so scary. But after mummy's reassurance, I decided not to be scare anymore. Today Dr Tan was on leave so my bum is going to be poked by Dr Lim, another nice PD. It was so painful that I cried, booboo...pain pain...

Oh ya, I am 10kg now and 74.1cm...Nice weight and height now =).

PD gave green light to allow me to take food with "taste" at last..Haha..I am looking forward to it..

You are offically a toddler now and had went through different hurdles from fliping over, learning to crawl, learning to chew and swallow solids, standing up with support, clapping hands, recognising us (and barney). And now, your latest talent is standing up on your own without support, shaking your body and bum like dancing...and of course throwing tanthrums and you can't get what you wanted and when mummy wanted to smack you..

Everyday is like a new day for you because you are always so cheerful, ur smile and little action has melt our hearts. All our troubles seem to disappear the moment you show your little stunt or smile with us. You have made Mummy and Daddy to be proud of you.

We celebrated your birthday today with all the family members..Hope you will grow up healthy, guaiguai, and a pretty ger in future!

Finally, the day has come...Mummy and Daddy woke up early this morning to decorate the house with my favourite balloons, banner, and re-arrange furnitures in the house to make way for the in-coming guests later on while I was still in lala land.

My folks went to collect my very 1st birthday cake, and needless to say, its hello kitty theme (wonder if its my birthday or mummy's). Here is how the cake look like..Mummy was so happy to see this cake as its one of her dream cake too =). Guess where is the candle?..

After collecting the cake, the balloons came in..lots of them..

Mummy ordered this minnie mouse agaragar for me because I am born in the year of rat =). *doesn't it looks as nice as the minnie mouse jumper dress yipo bought for me*

Soon, the buffet caterer came to setup..I was drooling when I see those nice and yummy food compared to my tasteless porridge =(. And of cos, the caterer uncle was very good, when mummy told him it was the hello kitty theme, he immediately agreed to setup based on this theme. Is it nice...Looks like some hotel's buffet lunch doesn't it? ;p

Mummy and Daddy's exams ending in 2 days time..last paper is on friday which is 1 day before my birthday..I wish them all the best lor =)..Jiayou folks!

Mummy is feeling stressed up and depressed cos friday's paper is managerial accounting..Its a tough paper...my folks have disputes over their studies recently and mummy was so upset, almost want ot give up. But when she think of my future and all those things she can provide me with after she gets her pay increase(hopefully) after she graduates, its worth it.

3 more days to my 1st birthday..Oh boy, I am looking forward to it =).

Mummy heard and read from ther forum friends that if during my lunar birthday, I choose a particular item, it would mean something and there goes my mummy again..Mummy and Ah ma prepared the following for me to choose :-

1) Drumstick
2) Dictionary
3) Pen
4) Ruler
5) Calculator
6) Credit card
7) $50 note
8) Mummy's handphone

Mummy laid all these 8 items in a row for me to choose..Once I was put onto the floor, I dashed towards the items, circling around because I do not know which one to choose from...Hmm....I grab the pen, followed by the dictionary,drumstick and credit card. Mummy let me choose again among these 4 items... This time, I chose the pen again..hee..This meant I will be a blue collar worker, works in office, and the best of all, a manager who only need to use her pen to sign..haha...Wonder if its true but well, we will know if 25 years time =)..

Both my dear parents are having their exams in 2 weeks time so i guess mummy will not
have so much time to blog liao. They have to prepare for their "big days" and the last paper will end on 22nd may which is 1 day before my birthday. Phew! Lucky mummy has prepared and planned for my Big One already.

2md Trial class at Kindermusik

Today mummy's forum friend organisied a trial class at fajar shopping center.
Mummy was so busy early in the morning, preparing my lunch-porridge with carrot, potato,sweetcorn,wolfberry, chicken and xiaobaicai. Then have to prepare all my "barangs" in the diaper bag. Phew! Finally we left home at 10am =).

When we reached there, Auntie Melissa and Max didi were there already.Then followed by Auntie Alexia and Jacinta meimei. I was wearing the same jumper as Jacinta meimei which Auntie Alexia bought for me..Hehe, Teacher was saying we were wearing the same jumper and smiliar hairclips..keke..

The class was fun! I was abit scare and umfamiliar at first, but after sliding down at the slide afew times, I got "warmed up". Teacher was singing and teaching the adults how to play along with us, it was fun! I liked the time when teacher gave us a shaker each, so fun! I liked the shaker alot alot.. kept on want to roll in around..hehe..

Finally, the class was over and both mummy and Auntie Alexia and Auntie Melissa were trying to get their 3 little ones to take a group photo together but its very difficult. Hehe, luckily, Auntie Alexia took some real nice shoots which mummy will post it up here soon =).

Today I am officially 11 months. Here is a letter from my mummy to me...

You are 11 months today and mummy is really very happy about it.

You have grown up from a little baby to a little angel now even though you are naughty at times.

Teething again??

For the past 1 week, my appetite has dropped.

1) For breakfast, usually 1 bowl of HT cereals
(12 scopes + 2 scope FM+ fruits)
--> Now less than half a bowl + some pigeon and gerber biscuits.

2) Lunch, usually 1 bowl+ of porridge
--> now half a bowl

3) Teabreak, usually yogurt and fruit or cheese with bread
--> Still the same

4) Milk time at 5 or 6pm, usually 240ml BR + FM
--> now can only finish 180ml or 200ml

5) Last feed before I go to bed, usually 240ml BR + FM
--> now only 200ml

Ah ma is kind and patience enough to feed me twice with the interval of 1hr to ensure that i have enough food in my little stomach. Mummy is getting worried that I might "shrink" if this goes on...Mummy was telling daddy that she can see a whitish thing on my upper gum, so it should be another new pearlie coming out... Poor me, another painful period =( ..

Finally, today is the day to discharged. Hubby has been trottling to and fro from hospital to home an dvice versa...Thats the wei da part of being a husband and a daddy..Really very grateful to my hubby who stood by me all this while..

Everyone was so excited at home waiting for us to go back..Was busy settling down with bb, unpacking, washing up etc..This starts my confinement! This is something or rather a phobia which I will never ever forget...

I drank my 1st slip of water at 5+am...was too thristy to wait for my red dates drink to come =)...Charlotte's PD, Dr Allyson Tan came by at 8+am in the morning, was told that bb will be sent for hearing test and some other tests..Also bb's head is too big, need to send for ultrascan to see if there is any accumulation of water in her head, thats y so big..I was so worried..hiaz..
Just then, my previous was pushed to me and i was asked to latch her on. The nurse was very nice, guided and taught me how to do it.I was having buttery fingers cos nv carried a newborn before..so was abit karan kapok..But somehow can manage cos its my baobei.

Lots of visitors came to visit me later in the afternoon, but I was still experiencing the drownsyness lor..so slept afew times..

Nurse was feeding my bb with Friso FM cos my supply has not kicke din yet..

When Gynae came for her rounds, she removed the uriner tube for me, ouch! so pain..After that i was told to hv my 1st pee, sooooo painful when i tried..suddenly like I duno how to pee liao.. Then hb bot a binder from Gynae and the nurses help me put it on. Was given painkillers as the epidural effect has faded..

23/05/08 - My birth story

This is the day where I have to go for my induce at 11am. Was told by gynae that bb is not gaining weight anymore and has to induce. Hb went with me and we agreed to that. 1st pill was inserted into me and I was put on the CTG to monitor for contractions. However, nothing was seen. Was told to go home and go back to the clinic at 3pm to check for dilation and contraction.

At 3pm, we arrived to the clinic, was told by the nurse that I have onli dilated 1cm!!! and I had to insert another pill. (check for dilation is soooo painful which I will rem always!) While inserting the 2nd pill, the nurse help me stretch my cervic to 1.5cm, hoping this will soften th ecervic and dilation will take place fast.Was told to admit to TMC if I have contractions which is 5mins interval.

All this while, i can onli feel abit of uncomfy and suan suan feeling but I dun like the feeling.

At 9.30pm, I began to sense some crampy feeling at my lower tummy and my lower back was bery suan. I asked hb to time the contractions for me, its 5mins interval! Called my FIL to send me to TMC immediately.

Upon arrival of TMC, I was asked to go to the labur ward waiting area on the 2nd floor while hb went to make the admission. I was told to change into a green labour gown with cris cross string ( like those u wear for OP). Then was put on CTG. Nurse came, shaved me, and put inserted some liquid into me to remove my stools...Boy, this was the time, I know Bb Charlotte is coming...

I was then push into the labour ward...I was put on CTG again, and was told to inform e nurses if i feel like pushing. Hb and I took a nap but i was feeling bery lousy and uncomfortable, lower back so suan until hb has to massage for me. Was told by nurse that my contractions is good, just that i haven dilate much lor..Outside my labour room, I can hear newborn babies cries, everytime I heard the cries, I always asked myself, when will I hear Charlotte's cries...

All this went on until the next morning. I have counted and total I heard 7 newborn bb's cries...then finally the nurses came, check my dilation, was told my dilation onli 1cm!! At this moment, I broke down. Was tinking I suffer for 1 whole day and the dilation onli 1cm. My contractions also slowly slowed down. I was so hungry at this time. Then gynae came in. She check my dilation and was told i onli dilated 1.5cm. If want to put me on drip, I will need to dilate 2cm before she can give the drip to me and insert another pill. I discuss with hb and told him that I dun wan to wait anymore. I want to opt for C-sect. Cos even if on drip and insertion of the 3rd pill, there is no guarrtee that I will dilate after all the hassle again. And I was in pain frm all e dilation and dun want to go through liao lor...

I was crying in front of my gynae and the nurse, this really scares the nurse lor. She thought she hurt me while she was checking the dilation, I told her not her fault lor..Just feel sad that after all the pain and discomfort, still can't dialte. felt so useless cos can't give birth naturally. But lucky hb was there to console me.
Gynae ask me to reconsider but I insisted on c-sect. Hence, an emergency Epi
C-sect was arranged. OT was book, anthesticia was booked, ward was allocated to me etc.

I was allowed to take my breakfast and was ask to take a rest at the normal ward until 5pm, while the OP will take place.

After I was pushed to the 5th floor, normal ward, 2bedded, I have a roommate, she was sleeping while I was pushed in. It is here where hb and I really hv a rest. I was quite skeptical about the c-sect but was trying my best not to be afraid. Instead i was happy and relieved cos finally would be able to see my precious after 5pm..I

At about 4+pm, hb was telling me if anything happens during the OP, and he was asked to choose wither me or bb, he will choose me. After hearing this, my whole body turns soft and touched. Wanted to drop tears but i controlled cos don't want to make him worry about me.

Finally, at 4.30pm, was told to change into the gown, put on the socks and was told to lay down on the bed whereby they going to push me to the OT. Hb took the other lift at the main entrance while I took another one. My fingers were cold cos I was starting to feel frighten. I was finally pushed into the OT, where the anthestia explain the effects of epidural to me. I was told to curl up so that he can administer the epidural into my spine. A nurse was holding onto me.

In less than seconds, my legs were numb, I dun feel anything from my waist and below liao. Here the anthestia was talking to me, making jokes so that i will feel relieve...I was asking for my hb cos all this while he was getting himself ready to come into this OT...Then my gynae came, I was shed away from my breasts and below.

Gynae told me its going to be a fast one and told me not to worry.I felt so cold then, hands start to shiver liao. Then saw hb, was almost in tears when i saw him, i also duno why. In afew mins time, gynae told me my bb is out! She even hold her up to show me. Hb was very excited, told me our bb Charlotte is out already. I can hear her cries loud and clear.Hb was asked to check bb's fingers, toes etc...Then hb turn to tell me, all is intact. Phew...

The next thing I know, I was shivering uncontrollably...fingers cold and shaking, was tol dits the effect of epidural lor...Hb was outside with bb doing the necessary while i was being "stitiched up". Can hear the conversations btw gynae and the nurses but I was slowly sliping into drownsiness..I was bery afraid, trying my very best to be alert cos I scare once I sleep, I won't be able to see my baobei and hb. I told the anthestia I very sleepy and he told me its like that, ask me to take a good rest. Before I closed my eyes, I could see blood stains on the floor, was telling myself, that must be my blood..haha ..Was wondering where's my hubby and baby..

After all the clearning up,I was pushed back into my ward to rest. Then I saw my hubby, at this moment, my eyes were bery heavy though I try to open up lor. Then I rem I aske dmy hubby where is Charlotte and whether she has what she is supposed to have (meaning 10 fingers and 10 toes)..hee...Was relief when hubby said everything is normal and bb looks like me.

Before I knew it, i can hear my mum, sister, yima, inlaws'voice liao..As must as I wanted to open my eyes to see them and see bb, I can't. Felt so dead and scare...Scare I can't wake up...Throughout the nite, nurses came over to check my BP, my wound and whether I have fever...Was onli allowed to drink some fluid at 4+am in e morning...so thirsty..

A shock!!

08/05/08 - A Shock!! (37wks)
Went to visit Dr Khi as my bi-weekly checkup.When Dr Khi placed the ultrascan on my tummy, both of us were shocked to see bb in breech position. 2 weeks ago, her head was facing downwards and i did not feel her turning up for the past 2 weeks. Was advised by gynae that if bb is still in breech position in my 38wks, most likely have to opt for c-sect. I was shocked to hear that. So during that weekend, hubby and I quickly set up the bb cot, playpen, wash curtains etc.. Lucky my mum has helped me to wash all the bb clothings, towels etc.

We also went Taka to buy the Toyomi Electric Airpot with our Taka Vouchers..

13/05/08 - This is the day to see if bb has turn her head down or to go ahead with csect on my 38th week which is on 15th...We were somehow prepared that her head is still up. But who knows, bb turns down to our surprise!! Her weight remain the same as afew days ago, 3.3kg. Gynae gave us 2 options, to induce or wait. Hb and I decided to wait as bb has not engaged yet...(baby,please stay head down and get engaged soon! Please give mummy some labour signs when you are ready ya)

3rd Trimster

06/03/08- Start of 3rd Trimster
Starting to feel the heavyness of my tummy and my girl. Its so amazing that a little life is growing inside me now..Been taking bird nest faithfully every week. Hope BB Charlotte will have nice and good complexion when she is out. Can feel my little ger's movements more actively now...really hope to see her soon.

Went Ikea to buy 2 chest of drawers to put her things, hope it is enough..The blue bag is my hospital bag, looks bulky hor. Everything has been packed inside, only left my hp charger and camera. Hope I did not miss out anything.

Of cos the drawers and the lamp were not spare of hello kitty..

We used the pink room for Charlotte's nursery room. Didn't really furnish with alot of things, just the drawers, passed down bb cot, playpen, fan, bathtub etc. Loved this pair of hello kitty babies which I bought purposely for her...

2nd Trimster

15/11/07 - Start of 2nd Trimster

Finally passed the most important and crucial first trimster..Now looking forward to knowing my bb's gender. Started buying some BB Rompers, Bibs etc cos it was all so cute and sweet. 2nd Trimster was supposed to be "honeymoon stage". So far, so good, except I feel my backside, tailbone area will be pain and abit "suan" whenever I sit down. Gynae told me it could be bb pressing on my nerves..naughty bb hor..Started taking fish oil, multi-vits and calcium pills which was supposed to be good for bb..Constipation got worst here, piles start to come out *ouch*. Was given cream to apply..At times, couldn't even sit down..

Bb at 12wks...

As time goes by,the shape of bb is becoming more obvious. Can see she is sucking her thumb also...Can feel her kicks and movements, so shen qi wor..

By the 20th week, I went for my Detailed Scan. This is a test to find out the gender of bb, and all other details. Its a girl!!

Here starts our bb items shopping...Bought plenty of pinky items like rompers, clothings, socks, hats etc.... Started buying Avent milk bottles, teats, Avent Steriliser, Pigeon Cleanser,Kodomo Liquid Detergent etc during the Taka and Robinson Member's sales =D...Here are our purchases..

Bot this Hk Bumper Mat so that my darling Charlotte can play, sleep and learn to flip on it..Hopes she will like Hello Kitty as much as I do..hee

1st visit to Gynae

01/10/07 - This is my first time visiting a gynae. Was told if I go see the gynae too early, won't be able to see anything via the ultrascan. So when I went in, Dr Khi uses a probe to scan for the sac..Scanned for awhile and there it is, so small and fragile at the center. Gynae says the sac is in good condition and place. Was given folic acid to take.

My sac is 6wks old...

So for the 1st trimster, appetite wasn't very good. Scared of the smell and taste of fish. Tummy feeling super bloated and also got "evening sickness" though its more common to have morning sickness...Craved for ice lemon tea and potatos all the time, *slurps*. By the end of the 12 week, it was the end of the 1st trimster.

Was asked to go for the Oscar Test to test for down sydrome of bb at 12weeks. Lucky everything was ok with bb.

A shock but happiness to all...

26/09/07 - Was hesistating whether to test with the pregnancy kit anot as I felt abit of crampy feeling on the day my AF is supposed to report..Finally took out 1 kit and tested...and who knows, it turns out to be "Pregnant".

Both hubby and I were happy and abit can't believe it. Can you imagine, I tested 4 days consecutive with Clearblue kit to make sure the kits were all working...hee.

Next step was to find a suitable gynae. Started smsing my forum friends who had given birth, asked them for gynae's contact no. Finally decided on a female gynae which Ting is seeing, Dr Caroline Khi from TMC.
